Too Good has been designed to be implemented with ease, and it is important that you have the skills to deliver the programs effectively so that you can achieve the best results.

to deliver Too Good effectively. Our professional trainers have extensive real-world, classroom experience delivering the Too Good prevention education programs, and they bring that experience to our trainings so that you will get the most out of your implementation.
Curriculum Training
Upcoming Open Trainings
To implement the Too Good programs in the classroom and beyond with confidence, fidelity, and results, participation in a Too Good Curriculum Training is your first step. In these training sessions you will:
Explore the extensive research and rationale behind Too Good.
Apply research-based prevention strategies and discuss their effectiveness.
Learn the strategies for building resiliency.
Learn how to teach vital life skills and prevention strategies.
Become familiar with the curriculum components, materials, lesson format, and the fundamentals of teaching the program.
Gain valuable hands-on experience delivering the Too Good program activities.
Understand how each grade level builds on the previous one, enabling students to learn skills easily and retain them as they advance.
Curriculum training is available for each of the Too Good programs. We will work with you to plan your implementation and training timeline.We recommend that you purchase and review your Too Good program materials prior to attending the training session so that you can make the most of your training experience.
We can come to you. Our training professionals will train you and your staff in your school district or community to implement the Too Good Programs and design a Curriculum Training that is fully customized to your specific needs. We will work with you to design a training program designed for the specific grade levels and make-up of your classrooms or after-school settings. Trainers will work with your educators to help them master delivering Too Good in their classrooms or community centers so that you can maximize the effectiveness of the programs.
On-Site Trainings are also a cost-effective option for schools, districts, or community agencies that need to train groups of 10 to 40 participants. We will train participants so they can take the programs right to the classroom or after-school setting following their training. Smaller school districts and agencies may collaborate with nearby districts or agencies to share the training cost.
Open Trainings
You can come to us. Too Good Open Trainings provide a comprehensive, convenient training solution for participants in schools and community agencies nationwide. Open Trainings are a cost effective option for the school district or agency that plans to train only a few individuals.
These trainings feature 2-3 days of hands-on curriculum training in a group environment. The sessions provide participants with the opportunity to network and share best practices with other prevention specialists from across the country.
A Curriculum Training session at an Open Training is $275 per person.
A Training of Trainers session at an Open Training is $400 per person.
An On-Site Curriculum Training Session is $2,000 per day plus travel expenses for the trainer. Each training session requires a minimum of 10 participants with a maximum of 40 participants.

To attend a Training of Trainers session, participants must meet the following criteria:
Complete a curriculum training conducted by a Mendez Foundation Trainer. Attendance at a curriculum training conducted by a Too Good Programs Certified Trainer does not satisfy this pre-requirement.
Experience in implementing a minimum of one grade level of Too Good for Drugs, Too Good for Violence or one complete program implementation of Too Good for Drugs & Violence High School or Too Good for Drugs & Violence After-School Activities.
Upon completion of a TOT session, you will be certified to train in your organization or district in the Too Good program(s) in which you have received curriculum training and completed program implementation. TOT Certifications are valid for two years. Too Good Program Trainers must complete re-certification training if they wish to maintain their certification.
